Beta Chapter was pleased to host DKG Alberta’s Co-Presidents, Sheila MacKay and Anne Clifford at their meeting on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Danish Canadian Club. After some social time, we were served a tasty breakfast. Guests were introduced and the guest speaker, Huoda Elgahwagi gave her presentation, “An Immigrants Journey”, a fascinating account of her family’s quest to move to Canada. During the brief business meeting, the slate of nominees for the new Beta Chapter Officers was approved. The upcoming Author presentation by Laurel Deedrick-Mayne on April 30 was discussed. A motion by Betty Rose and seconded by Lesley McDevitt that Beta Chapter be listed as an official sponsor of the 2022 DKG Alberta Inspired Leadership Seminar held in Canmore and that a donation of CAD $1000.00(as approved by the Beta Chapter Finance Committee) was approved. Chapter members were reminded that a new Canadian Project will be chosen at the Canadian Forum in June 2022.
